SD Ronald McDonald House - AutoNation Subaru Carlsbad - Tasha M
In the last few years, AutoNation Subaru Carlsbad has partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and San Diego Ronald McDonald House through the Subaru Loves to Care initiative. The partnership has involved delivering blankets, 10 patient care kits, and messages of hope to cancer patients. The items were delivered to the oncology staff at the hospital on July 16th, 2025, by Autonation Subaru Carlsbad for distribution to patients in treatment.
Sand, Surf, and Subaru's - Robin R
It was another beautiful weekend on the water at the Oceanside Pier. The Oceanside Longboard Surfing Club held their 40th Annual Surfing & Beach Festival on August 8 - 10, 2025. The club, thru their members, promotes and fosters the amateur sport of surfing with emphasis on good sportsmanship & citizenship. Also improving the public image of the surfing community, and supporting the conservation of the coastal enviroment. It's from events such as this, that we are able to support several local charities like the California Surf Museum, the Scholastic Surf Series, and local school surf teams. We want to give a large "Mahalo" to Autonation Subaru of Carlsbad, who has been a consistent supporter every year of the OLSC.
To See a Child Smile - Kim M
The San Diego Ronald McDonald House provides a "home away from home" for families whose children are being treated for serious, often life-threatening conditions at local hospitals. We know that the best medicine is a family that is all together sharing moments that matter. We are very fortunate that for the past few years, Autonation Subaru of Carlsbad, thru the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, have again chosen us as the recipients of 80 customized heart-shaped blankets for pediatric patients undergoing cancer as well as other treatments. Patient Care Kits were also delivered along with a "Message of Hope" board. The messages of hope were notes from their customers wishing them well. Our thanks go out to Autonation Subaru of Carlsbad for their contnued support.
Thank You for Your Support! - Kelly P
Rancho Coastal Humane Society has been serving San Diego County for more than 64 years, dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned companion animals, promoting adoptions, and offering educational programs and support services that strengthen human-animal bonds. We recently celebrated a Grand Opening Festival for our neighbors and supporters, showcasing our newly upgraded campus and Medical Center. One such supporter was Autonation Subaru of Carlsbad. For the past few years, they have made RCHS the beneficiary of the Subaru Loves to Share prograqm from November to January, as well as the Subaru Loves Pets program in October. Both of these programs showed not only a commitment to RCHS, but to our furry friends as well. Autonation Subaru was on hand during the celebration showing pet friendly accessories. Thank you Autonation Subaru for your support.

A Big THANK YOU! - Deborah M
The Community Resource Center (CRC) in Encinitas is just what its name implies. A center where the community can come to for resources. Resources like food & nutrition services, housing / supportive services, domestic violence services to name a few. The CRC impacts more than 8600 people each year with these and so much more. And we could not do it without the generous assistance provided by Autonation Subaru of Carlsbad. Nathan Thompson, General Manager, presents a check for $52,472 to John Van Cleef and Deborah Murray of CRC as Autonation Employees look on. The check was made possible thru a combined effort of Sales and Service during the Share The Love event.
Distributing Trees in the Local Community - Donald E
Autonation Subaru partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation thru Subaru of America to distribute trees in the local community. Autonation hosted the event at the dealership to celebrate the Subaru Loves the Earth campaign and to provide a positive impact where we live, work, and drive. Over 100 trees were distributed to customers. The trees, Eastern Redbud, Tuliptree, Southern Magnolia, and Chinese Pistache, were all delivered in 1-Gallon containers.
Helping Our Neighbors - Don E
The Community Resource Center’s (CRC) mission is to help our neighbors create paths to healthy food, stable homes, and safe relationships. In 45 years of operation, the CRC has provided emergency assistance, case management. Counseling, shelter and food assistance to low-income individuals and families including domestic violence survivors and victims of crime or abuse who are economically vulnerable, experiencing homelessness or at imminent risk of homelessness. In 2023, the CRC was able to distribute more than 505,000 pounds of food through 14,936 visits to their food and nutrition center. But the needs of the community have the CRC expanding their Food & Nutrition Center services, adding a new FNC program coordinator to support expanded distribution. 2024 saw the CRC participating in Project Dash to deliver free nutritious fresh food to senior-living complexes, homebound seniors, and persons with disabilities. Also increasing the hours of operations to include evenings or Saturdays. And with this increase also come as increase in the number of volunteers to assist with food distribution at the food pantry. So on Saturday, July 13th, Luis Bautista, Manny Morataya, Vanessa Moreno, Daniela Alecio, and Sydney England from Autonation Subaru of Carlsbad answered that call. The staff at CRC noted this about the Subaru volunteers: The volunteers from Subaru were great! They seemed to enjoy speaking with out clients who came on Saturday, they had fun, and were a huge support. We look forward to working with them moving into the future.
